Spiced Plum Chutney


A really fruity, plummy chutney with mixed spices of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. We simmer this for several hours to ensure an intense, rich and gooey chutney which goes with just about everything. This edition is ideal for those who love a fresh, sweet flavour that needs no kick it is so tightly crammed with taste.

Especially good with cheese, this makes for the perfect sandwich toastie or wrap. Spread a generous amount on your bread and sprinkle with cheddar cheese (or your favourite). You can either enjoy it as it is or place in your toastie machine or grill for 5 minutes until golden brown for the most moreish comfort snack.

Alternatively, bring a cheese board into the mix. Pair with fresh, cold cheese, meats, pies, scotch eggs, crackers and more! It serves as a brilliant cold chutney as well as a warm one – the flavour never ceases!

For a warm treat use this in a sausage roll recipe. just add 3 heaped tbsps to your raw sausage mix (or vegetarian option) and mix in well – don’t be afraid to use your hands! Roll the mixture up and place onto a flat puff pastry sheet. fold the sheet over and cut into the sizes you want. Cook at 180c for 20-25 minutes until the outside is golden brown – no need to add anything else just enjoy.

Lovely with compotes, yoghurts, cereals and porridge. Apply a generous amount as a topping and enjoy! This chutney is great as it can be used as a sweet or savoury treat. You choose!
