Seville Orange Marmalade with Cognac

Using the delicious recipe for our Seville Orange Marmalade, we pour in a slug of cognac just before bottling for a little bit of luxury in a jar.

Stir a tablespoon into porridge with toasted nuts for a sweet, fruity taste making it the perfect go to topping for breakfast. For another delicious meal pair with your favourite pastry or add this as the filling to make a delicious danish marmalade pastry – it will be bursting with flavour and freshness!

Alternatively, make homemade jam tarts. Prep and cut your pastry and place in the tray then add a dollop of the marmalade into the middle and cook! Pair with fresh clotted cream or vanilla ice cream and enjoy.

Selville Orange Marmalade loaf cake is an all time winner and an easy teatime treat. Preheat the oven (160c), beat your butter and sugar and then egg. Fold in flour, salt and baking powder. Add the marmalade (3tbsp) and milk. bake for 50-55 minutes and allow to cool for 5. Mix icing sugar, a little orange juice and add the marmalade. Dribble the mixture over the cake and enjoy your sticky, moreish treat with a lovely cup of tea!

It is also a great filling for cakes, scones, crumpets, waffles, pancakes and pretty much any treat you can think of!

As well as your breakfast conserve, try with sausage rolls or as a baste for baked ham. Sharpen up a roasted duck by drizzling this over halfway through cooking for a succulent, sticky meal.
